Rigid Grooved Coupling
- Pipe diameter range: DN15-DN300
- Pressure resistance level: up to 4.0 MPa
- Material: ductile cast iron, stainless steel, duplex steel
We have been manufacturing and selling pipe fittings for more than 20 years, selling low prices and producing high quality pipe fittings are our obvious advantages, welcome to inquire.
Rigid Grooved Coupling is a kind of pipe fittings to realize rigid connection of pipes by mechanical clamps, which is specially used in piping systems requiring strict centering and no displacement compensation, and is suitable for fire-fighting, industrial and municipal engineering scenarios.
Rigid Grooved Coupling
- Standard grooves should be machined on the end of the pipe to ensure that the depth and width of the clamp bite is in accordance with specifications (e.g. ISO 2531).
- During installation, strict alignment is very important, so the allowable deviation should not exceed ±0.5mm to avoid stress concentration.
- The pipe is directly fixed by mechanical engagement using two half-joints with grooves and high-strength clamps, avoiding the use of elastic elements. After the connection, the pipe will not undergo axial, radial or angular displacement.
- The gid Grooved Coupling, with its high strength, rigid connection and quick installation, is the core component for fixing pipes in fire fighting and industrial applications, especially for high pressure or high precision systems where no displacement compensation is required.
Advantages
- High strength fixing:
Through the mechanical locking method of the clamp, a rigid connection can be achieved. This method is suitable for piping systems that require strict alignment, such as fire risers and industrial trunk lines, to avoid displacement that may cause leakage or structural deformation. - Quick installation:
The biggest advantage of the clamp design is that it does not require welding or the use of complex tools. It can be connected by simply tightening the bolts. The installation time for one point only takes 5-10 minutes. - Economy and Durability:
Ductile iron is low cost and very durable, can be disassembled and reused, reducing maintenance costs
