Grooved Drain Cap with Eccentric Hole, a modification of the grooved cap, provides directional drainage/venting through an eccentric hole, especially suited for situations where the pipe needs to be completely emptied. Low-point fluid buildup, such as in fire protection, industrial, and HVAC systems, where the eccentric construction prevents residual fluid retention.

Core structure and parameters
- Trench end: suitable for DN50-DN300 pipes, mechanically fixed by clamps, built-in EPDM rubber seal ensures airtightness.
- Eccentric hole position: the hole position is off the center line (usually located at the bottom of the pipe cap), which facilitates gravity drainage and reduces dead zone residue.
- Hole diameter range: customized according to the demand for drainage, common specifications for Ø10-50 mm, some models support external valves (such as NPT threaded interface).
Application Scenarios
- Municipal engineering: pumping and drainage of cities. For example, underground drainage pipe network inspection wells are reserved for emergency liquid discharge ports, which enable rapid pumping.
- Industrial piping system: low-point liquid discharge for chemical pipelines to prevent corrosive medium accumulation. Pressure relief and residual liquid discharge before overhaul of oil and gas storage and transportation pipelines.
- Firefighting and HVAC systems: end-of-sprinkler network drainage to avoid nozzle clogging due to deteriorating water quality. Directional discharge of central air conditioning condensate piping to reduce microbial growth.
