Grooved Reducing Cross
- Regular pressure: 150-300 psi
- Certification: UL/FM certified
- Material: carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron
As a manufacturer and producer of pipe fittings for over 20 years, fireminus can provide you with high quality pipe fittings at low prices.
Grooved Reducing Cross is an asymmetric cross fitting with at least one reducing port, designed to connect pipes of varying diameters for multi-directional flow distribution or convergence. Its grooved interface is compatible with grooved clamp connections, suitable for fire protection, industrial piping networks, and HVAC systems, enabling rapid installation and high-pressure resistance while minimizing welding requirements and enhancing system scalability.
Grooved Reducing Cross
- Standard reducer combinations: Main through diameters range from DN50 (2“) to DN300 (12”), typical reducer examples include: DN150 x DN100 x DN80 x DN80 (main DN150, branch DN100 and DN80). DN150×DN100×DN80×DN80 (main diameter DN150, branch DN150 and DN80), DN200 × DN150 × DN100 × DN100 (main diameter DN200, branch DN150 and DN100)
- Regular pressure ratings up to 300 psi (carbon steel, SCH40 wall thickness) and high-pressure versions (stainless steel) up to 600 psi meet the rigors of industrial piping.
- Reducing ports must correspond strictly to the outside diameter of the pipe (e.g., DN200 main diameter with DN150 branch) to avoid leakage or stress concentration due to dimensional deviations.
- The temperature range is -20°F to 400°F for carbon steel and -40°F to 800°F for stainless steel 316L, depending on the medium temperature.
Key Parameters and Tolerance Requirements
- Outside Diameter Tolerance
- Carbon Steel/Ductile Iron: ±0.5 mm (DN50–DN150)57; ±1.0 mm (DN200–DN300).
- Stainless Steel: ±0.3 mm (full size range).
- Wall Thickness Range
- SCH10: 2.0–4.5 mm (for pressure ≤150 psi).
- SCH40: 5.0–12.7 mm (for pressure ≤300 psi).
- SCH80: ≥14.2 mm (high-pressure stainless steel version, ≤600 psi).
- Groove Interface Specifications
- Groove Depth: 1.5–3.0 mm (adjusted based on pipe diameter).
- Groove Width: Matches standard grooved clamp dimensions (e.g., Victaulic series)
