Grooved Reducing Flange Tee Wye is a combination of grooved clamp and flange fittings designed for diverting, merging and reducing fluids in piping systems. Its Y-shaped branch design (Wye) reduces fluid resistance, and the flange connection (Flange) supports the hard connection with valves or equipment, suitable for fire-fighting, industrial and building piping systems.
Grooved Reducing Flange Tee Wye
- Integration of Reducing Diverter and Flange Connection: Supporting three-way reducer (e.g. DN100×DN80×DN65), combined with groove clamp and flange interface, it not only simplifies the installation process but also meets the demand for hard connection with valves/equipment.
- Wide range of diameters: covering DN32 (1.25“) to DN200 (8”), suitable for retrofitting old pipelines and upgrading complex systems.
- Fluid-optimized structure: Y-shaped branch (Wye) design reduces turbulent resistance and pressure loss, suitable for high-flow industrial systems (e.g. fire-fighting water supply, chemical pipelines).
- Carbon steel (ASTM A53) for conventional media (-22°F to 248°F).
- Branch angle accuracy: 45° (low flow) or 60° (high flow) is recommended, with angle deviation of less than ±2°; otherwise vibration or leakage may occur.
- Periodic flaw detection: fittings with DN≥100 need to undergo magnetic particle flaw detection or eddy current testing every 2 years to ensure that the grooves are free of cracks.
Dimensions and Weight Table
- Branch Angle: 45° recommended for low-flow systems, 60° for high-flow industrial applications. Deviation must be <±2° to avoid turbulence or leaks.
- Standards: Ensure compatibility with referenced specifications (e.g., ANSI B16.5 for flange connections).
- Tolerances: OD and branch angle tolerances are critical for groove-gasket sealing performance.
