The Grooved Straight Tee (Equal Tee) is an equalizing tee fitting with a grooved clamp connection that does not require welding or turning threads. It has three ports of the same diameter, which allows for an even distribution of fluid. It is generally available in carbon steel or stainless steel. It has the advantage of pressure resistance and corrosion resistance. Grooved Straight Tee (Equal Tee) is suitable for quick installation of piping systems widely used in fire fighting, industrial water supply, petrochemical and other fields. It supports high-pressure environments (e.g., 3,000 pounds) and meets ANSI/ASME standards.

Grooved Straight Tee (Equal Tee)

  1. Pipe end face treatment: Make sure the end face of the cut pipe is flat and burr-free, and the sealing part is scratch-free, and trim with sandpaper if necessary.
  2. Clamp installation: make sure that the clamp fits the groove completely, and the exposed wire buckle is 2~3 buckles after the bolt is tightened to avoid over-tightening or loosening.
  3. Temperature extremes: -29℃~200℃ for conventional materials, deep cold or high temperature environment needs to verify the toughness or oxidation resistance of the material (such as 304/316 stainless steel).
  4. Thermal stress compensation: when buried installation, DN ≥ 110 pipes do not need to reserve expansion length; space-restricted areas are prioritized electrofusion connection.
  5. Support hanger setting: the bracket needs to be fixed on the load-bearing structure, avoid welding directly to the steel structure beam, and do anti-corrosion treatment.
