American socket weld 45° Y-branch (Lateral)

American Socket Weld 45° Y-branch (Lateral)

  • Nominal Diameter: 1/8″ ~ 4″
  • Standard: ASME B16.11 and ANSI B36.10M
  • Temperature: -196°C – 815°C (all materials)
  • Surface treatment: galvanized, sprayed or bare material

We have been manufacturing and selling pipe fittings for more than 20 years, selling low prices and producing high quality pipe fittings are our obvious advantages, welcome to inquire.

The American socket weld 45° Y-branch is a socket weld fitting. This 45° Y-branch is particularly suitable for ASME B1611 small diameter (NPS ≤ 2″) high pressure systems to effectively connect to another pipeline at a 45° angle.

1. The diversion or convergence of the medium is a key factor in maintaining the continuity and sealing of the pipeline system, especially in high-pressure scenarios where stable flow is required (chemical and petroleum pipelines).
2. Installation is carried out through socket weld angle joints, without complex bevel processing.
3. Nominal pipe sizes (NPS) range from 1/8 inch to 2 inches, with pressure levels of 3000LB (SCH80), 6000LB (SCH160) and 9000LB (XXS)
4. This type of connection is not recommended for situations with high flow rates and granular media. The sudden change in internal geometry will cause turbulence, resulting in erosion and damage to the pipeline.
5. An expansion gap of 1.6mm is required after the pipe is inserted to prevent cracking of the weld due to thermal stress.
6. Strict inspection must be carried out by magnetic particle testing (MT) or penetrant testing (PT) to ensure that there are no potential safety hazards
7. Material influence: Stainless steel and alloy steel can support thinner wall thickness due to their better pressure and temperature resistance.
