American socket weld concentric reducer

American Socket Weld Concentric Reducer

  • Weighing diameter: covering 1/8″~4″
  • Carbon steel material: -29°C~425°C
  • Socket depth: 9.5~16mm
  • Standard: ASME B16.11 and GB/T 14383

We have been manufacturing and selling pipe fittings for more than 20 years, selling low prices and producing high quality pipe fittings are our obvious advantages, welcome to inquire.

ANSI socket weld concentric reducers are mainly used to connect two pipes of different diameters. In this device, the center lines of the two ports coincide precisely. This design ensures a smooth transition of the fluid between the pipes and reduces turbulence and pressure loss during the flow process.

American Socket Weld Concentric Reducer

  1. Mainly used for small diameter (NPS≤4″) piping systems, such as chemical branch piping, nuclear power cooling systems, etc. Not recommended scenario: large diameter (NPS>4″) or high fatigue load environment, it is recommended to use Buttweld or flange connection.
  2. Branch caliber combination: support multi-caliber reducer connection, such as 2″×1-1/2″×1″×3/4″ and other combinations, the specific size according to the project demand customization.
  3. 1.6mm expansion gap should be reserved before welding to prevent cracking of the weld due to thermal stress.
    Pressure level: 3000LB (SCH80), 6000LB (SCH160), 9000LB (XXS), suitable for high-pressure to ultra-high-pressure systems.
  4. Socket weld design: the pipe is inserted into the pipe fitting and fixed by fillet weld, the weld is located in the outer wall of the pipe socket, no need for pre-fabricated bevel.

Socket Weld Concentric Reducer VS Threaded Reducer

Comparison Item‌‌Socket Weld Concentric Reducer‌‌Threaded Reducer‌
‌Sealing Performance‌High (no leakage risk with fillet weld)‌Moderate (relies on sealant/thread tape)‌
‌Pressure Rating‌High (3000LB~9000LB)‌Low to Medium (≤2000LB)‌
‌Installation Complexity‌Higher (requires welding precision)‌Simple (direct threading)‌
‌Maintenance Cost‌Low (long service life)‌High (periodic sealant replacement needed)‌
