American Socket Weld Couplet

  • Socket depth: Minimum 9.5mm (NPS 1/4) – 19mm (NPS 4)
  • Nominal diameter: double socket: 1/4“-6”; single socket: 1/8“-4” (DN6-DN100).
  • Standard: ASME B16.11 and MSS SP-83

We have been manufacturing and selling pipe fittings for more than 20 years, selling low prices and producing high quality pipe fittings are our obvious advantages, welcome to inquire.

American socket weld pipe fittings are used to connect two pipes. They are used to connect two pipes of the same or different diameters. They form a reliable sealing connection through fillet welds, thereby effectively preventing fluid leakage. From a structural point of view, American socket weld pipe fittings can be divided into two main types: double socket clamps and single socket clamps (one end is socket and the other end is another connection form).

American Socket Weld Couplet

  • Suitable for small diameter pipes (≤NPS 4), especially for high pressure systems with space constraints.
  • Fillet welds are subjected to magnetic particle testing (MT) or penetration testing (PT) to ensure no cracks or incomplete fusion.
  • High temperature environments (e.g. ≥430°C) require stainless steel or alloy steel to avoid oxidative failure of carbon steel.
  • Fillet welds can also prevent leakage of transported goods, so fillet welds are a good choice for pipeline systems that transport flammable, toxic or high-value media.

Socket-welded duplex hose clamps offer significant advantages in high-pressure, small-diameter applications, but require strict adherence to weld specifications and evaluation of media properties. Selection should be based on ASME standards, operating conditions and long-term maintenance costs.
