American socket weld cross is a kind of American standard socket weld fittings. It is generally used for the connection of four-way pipe branch. The pipe end adopts socket weld structure, and the pipe is inserted into the fittings and fixed by fillet weld. It is suitable for small diameter and high pressure piping system.

- Complies with ASME B16.11 standard covering dimensions, tolerances, pressure ratings and material requirements.
- Pressure ratings: 3000LB (SCH80/XS), 6000LB (SCH160), 9000LB (XXS).
- Forging process: die forging blank molding → heat treatment → machining → inspection
- Welding Requirements: 1.5~3mm expansion gap to cope with thermal expansion and contraction.
- The dimensions from the center of the tee to the bottom of the socket hole and the depth of the socket hole are in accordance with ASME B16.11 standard.
- Welds are fillet welds, which provide high structural strength and leakage integrity, but lower fatigue resistance than butt-welded construction.
- Leakage integrity is superior to mechanical connections (e.g., threaded) for high-risk scenarios.
