American Socket Weld Reducing Cross
- Socket depth (J): 9.5~16mm
- Pressure: for high pressure system
- Nominal passage diameter (NPS): 1/8″~4″
- Standard: ASME B16.11 and GB/T14383-2018
We have been manufacturing and selling pipe fittings for more than 20 years, selling low prices and producing high quality pipe fittings are our obvious advantages, welcome to inquire.
Belongs to the American Standard socket weld (Socket Weld) four-way fittings, its four branches of the existence of at least two different caliber interfaces, used to connect the multi-directional reducer pipe branch, to achieve the flow distribution or pipe diameter conversion.
American socket weld reducing cross
- Socket weld design: Pipes are inserted into fittings and fixed by fillet welds to ensure high leakage integrity and structural strength, but a 1.5~3mm expansion gap is required to cope with thermal stress.
- Commonly available in stainless steel (304/316), carbon steel (A105) and duplex (F51/F53) for corrosion resistance and mechanical strength to meet the rigors of industrial environments.
- Pressure ratings: 3000LB (SCH80), 6000LB (SCH160) and higher for high or ultra-high pressure systems.
- Not suitable for large diameter (NPS>2) or high fatigue load scenarios.
- Socket weld construction provides better sealing than mechanical connections (e.g., threaded) and is suitable for high pressure applications.
Pressure Rating & Wall Thickness
Pressure Rating and Wall Thickness Matching Standard Reference ANSI B36.10/19
| Pressure Rating | Wall Thickness (SCH) | Materials | Temperature |
| 3000LB | SCH80 (5.54mm @2″) | Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel | -29°C~425°C |
| 6000LB | SCH160 (8.56mm @4″) | Stainless Steel, Duplex | -50°C~550°C |
