Socket Weld Tee (Socket Weld Tee) is a kind of pipe fittings used to connect three directions of pipeline, through the socket welding to achieve sealing, suitable for small diameter (NPS ≤ 2), high pressure or high sealing requirements of the pipeline system.

Diameter and Tolerance: The nominal diameter (NPS) of the tee should be the same as the pipe, DN15~DN50 should be strictly controlled tolerance according to ASME B16.11.
Reduction Ratio: Reducing tees should be labeled with a reduction ratio (e.g., 1/2“ x 1/4” x 1/2″).
Gap control: leave an expansion gap of 1.6mm between the socket and the pipe to prevent thermal stress cracking.
Argon arc welding priming: Stainless steel as well as nickel-based alloys should be protected from oxidation by argon backside protection.
Control of operating temperature: nickel-based alloys (such as Monel 400) need to control the continuous operating temperature ≤ 600 ℃.
Acidic environments: such as HCl, acidic environments need to use PTFE lined tee.
