American Threaded Female and Male Concentric Reducer achieves precise pipe connections via threads. The primary manufacturing process is forging, with a core feature being a conical flow channel design that allows for reducing or expanding the diameter while maintaining aligned centerlines. It is widely used in fire protection systems and industrial cooling water pipe systems. Its wide range of wall thicknesses and variety of materials provide excellent corrosion resistance and pressure resistance. Standard threaded fittings are designed to meet the requirements of special pipeline systems operating at 6000 psi.

There are two common types of reducer combinations: equal diameter with varying wall thickness and unequal diameter with varying wall thickness.

Equal diameter with varying wall thickness is suitable for situations where the pressure rating needs to be increased but the flow rate remains unchanged, such as: NPS6 SCH40 → NPS6 SCH80.

Unequal diameter with varying wall thickness is suitable for scenarios where pressure changes, with the most commonly used sizes being: NPS8 SCH40 → NPS6 SCH80; DN200 SCH10S → DN150 SCH40S.
